We had to do the same thing with Tess. She just refused to eat her food and after an hour or so Fred would eat it for her (he's so helpful...and fat!) Anyway, she didn't eat for the first two days, but she caught on by the third! your're right, she won't starve. I'm happy your kitty is OK, how scary.
