I'm an Animal!

You Are Animal

A complete lunatic, you're operating on 100% animal instincts.
You thrive on uncontrolled energy, and you're downright scary.
But you sure can beat a good drum.
"Kill! Kill!"

What's New

What's New? I'm not being a good Fat Loser. Fucking G irl S couts. Fucking cookies. Ah well, it'll all be over soon. Pool opens on Monday, friend Katie coming to try it out with me and the baby. Sweet! I'm seeking inspiration. I'm floundering, a little.

Took on the calligraphy job, not sure I can do it, but will spend remainder of week dutifully practicing until I determine it one way or 'tother. If not (mainly due to bumpy paper and smallness of script required) I'll offer to write it out in fountain pen for free. Least I can do.

Baby talking like mad and now walks self to bed every night. Sigh. Almost missing carrying her to the crib. She's so big! New words daily. Asks for more, again, says no, says yes. Where is my tiny baby? And very tall. Super cute today at the library.

Not much else to report. Every time I sit down here to blog it's all just news reports. I'm avoiding thinking too hard, I think there's too much going on at once and I can't focus. Will blog more when I am obsessing about something!

Domestic News

There is virtually nothing to report. I mean, we got new faucets. This is terrifically exciting to me -- no longer will I curse and rail at the crappy kitchen faucet, waiting a full three minutes or more for hot water to come out in a mere trickle -- but it doesn't really bode for edge-of-your-seat reading. New faucets, baby doing well, we moved the chicken coop to a sunnier location, it was really windy here a while back, it's going to get cold by the end of the week (and possibly snow), I went to the dentist yesterday and got glowing praise for my excellent flossing and gorgeous crown, etc. Pretty mundane.

Maybe some of this lack-of-news thing is my own fault. I've been playing DiabloII: Lord of Destruction again, meaning I spend less time concocting hare-brained schemes and getting myself into scrapes. On the bright side, my Amazon is level 42 and can use her Buriza and Titans javelins now... Still, I can't help but wonder if I'm a little dependent on her to make me feel more interesting. Maybe I should limit my playing to once a week and do other things.

Yeah, that'll happen. :P

A friend has asked me if I want to do some calligraphy, putting names on certificates for some non-profit thing. I'm interested but have been too lazy (read: unwilling to give up game time) to break out all my gear and practice up a bit to see if I'm up to the challenge. Creative self vs. lazy, unmotivated path of least resistance self. Hmmm.

In other news, and with the obligatory Cute Baby Picture, Delia has been talking up a storm. Last night at bedtime she insisted on walking herself over to Mommy for a kiss and then walking down the hall to her room, vs. the usual routine of being carried. Blew me away. She's growing up! I don't know if I can take it. The CBP features a scantily clad Delia picking at her bellybutton, a favorite pastime which she engages in whenever possible. This is why we wear a onesie to the library storytime, or else we spend all our time staring at everyone else having fun while we obssess over our "butt" which is what we call our bellybutton.
